Drowning

Pietro and his son Jacopo, who is autistic, are travelling to Puglia. Suddenly, their car breaks down and they are rescued by Oliviero, a local mechanic.

Pietro and Jacopo are offered a place to stay by Agata, the owner of a bar that was once also a guesthouse. Agata is assisted by Gaia, who forms a deep bond with Pietro.

Life in the small town is slow and monotonous, suspended in anticipation of something, until a dramatic truth prevents them from continuing their journey.
