Claudio Abate — L’obiettivo sull’Arte
DOCUMENTARY
2026
Claudio Abate, born in 1943, extensively documented Rome’s art scene in the 1960s and 1970s. He deserves credit for capturing some of the key moments of an era in which art was not a solitary form of expression, but retained a sense of community, a shared creative explosion, and a renewed dialogue between the visual arts, theatre, and cinema.
The documentary portrays this vibrant and flourishing creative explosion through the private life and work of the artist Claudio Abate.
