Egea Haffner grows up in Pula during the final years of the Second World War, until the disappearance of her father, likely a victim of the Foibe massacres, changes her life forever. Forced to leave her homeland, she embarks on the exodus to Bolzano with her grandmother and aunt, experiencing first-hand the trauma of the displacement of the Julian-Dalmatian and Istrian Italian communities.
